The installers of our new carpeting tells us that they will be finishing the work on the stairs Tuesday morning or early afternoon. The bigger news is about the chairs, however; they are due to be delivered Wednesday morning. Help is needed to unbox the chairs and bring them into the auditorium. Come, if you can, and help us between 9 and noon to bring in our new seating.

Many of us helped take out the pews from the building Saturday, and many more of us helped move chairs and books out of the auditorium in preparation for carpet installation. Thanks to all!!A quick inspection of the auditorium Monday afternoon showed that the installation is well underway. Even only half-way done, it looked really good. According to one of the workmen the whole installation should be done by Tuesday afternoon.

The Paul Kendall family of the Southern Aroostook County church suffered a total loss of their house and possessions in a freak lightning strike of their house on August 18. At this point they have received a lot of help regarding clothing, but are facing the rapidly approaching prospects of a northern Maine winter without a home. They are looking into mobile/modular housing or renting over the winter. Any assistance would be appreciated.
